The Fan Association of North America (FANA) is an organization with individual and institutional members who have an interest in the study, conservation, acquisition and identification of antique, vintage and collectible hand fans.
FANA was organized as a non-profit entity (Fan Association of North America, Inc.) in 1983 as an association devoted to the promotion, study, conservation and collection of fans.
Research, education and exhibition of fans are encouraged to serve individuals, the public, museums, and organizations with similar interests. |

The
Fan Circle International was formed in 1975 to promote interest in, and understanding of, all aspects of the many varieties of fan.
Members include collectors, fan makers, costume designers, historians, artists, students, antique dealers, lace makers and interior designers as well as many others whose interest has been sparked by the fascination of the wonderfully varied “objects for agitating the air”.

THE
BEAD SOCIETY OF GREATER CHICAGO
is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation and an IRC Section 501©
(7) organization. The society was founded in 1989 and is dedicated
to the study, discussion and exchange of information about beads
and beadwork. Its objective is to educate its members and the
general public about the historic and artistic importance of beads
and beadwork. |

Quilters' Guild of
the British Isles is educational. It also aims to provide information
and resources both to its members and to the general public. |

The
Beadworkers Guild was formed in 1999 and is
now a Registered Charity with a membership of over 2500. It is
a focus for everyone who enjoys beading and learning about beadwork,
where the emphasis is on individual creativity, and the sharing
of ideas and techniques. The main aims of the Guild are to facilitate
the exchange of ideas and knowledge amongst beadworkers and to
promote beadwork to the public at large. |

Bead Society of Great Britain (formed in September
1989), is a subscription-based, non-profitmaking, non-commercial
venture run by a permanent Team who work voluntarily. The Society
is open to all those who have an appreciation, either private
or professional, of beads ancient and modern, of all shapes, sizes,
materials and colours; their techniques of manufacture, and their
application. |

The Hertfordshire
Visual Arts Forum was launched in 1989/90.
The aim was to give Hertfordshire artists a voice and to help
them build professional structures and style. No matter what sort
of interest you have in the visual arts, full or part-time the
Hertfordshire Visual Arts Forum is for you! It is run by an enthusiastic
voluntary Organising Group, with members from all areas of involvement
in the visual arts. |
