	Fans are essentially feminine and my research into their history has given me a fascinating insight into how fans evolved from being everyday functional objects into objects of great beauty and desire. The fan was designed using photographs of the flowers. I use Brick stitch so that the 'fabric' is stronger and has a firmer texture. This fan contains 18,220 Delica beads in 124 different colours. It took 120 hours to make.
